Changes to the UUKPF Trustee board

The Unilever UK Pension Fund is managed by Unilever UK Pension Fund Trustees Limited – a trustee company. This company acts through its board of directors, who are generally called ‘Trustees’.

Up to 1 May 2008, the number of Trustees was 14 – seven elected by the members of the Fund (including 1 pensioner Trustee), and seven appointed by the company.

From 1 May 2008 this structure is changing. There will normally be 13 Trustees on the board:

Changes to the company appointed Trustees:

From 1 May 2008, the company appointed Trustees are:

* Chris is a new Trustee and will take her position on the board from 1 June 2008.

Gavin Neath resigned as Trustee with effect from 1 May 2008.
Wendy Mayall resigned as Trustee with effect from 1 June 2008 (to be replaced by Chris Appleby).

Changes to the member elected Trustees:

Pensioner elected Trustees:

During April 2008, the pensioner members of the UUKPF voted on candidates for pensioner elected Trustees. The 2 successful candidates were:

* Richard was re-appointed as a trustee
** David is a new trustee.

Employee delegate elected Trustees:

During the Delegates Conference in April 2008, delegates also voted on candidates for employee delegate elected Trustees. The successful candidates were:

* George is a new Trustee.

The independent Trustee:

Liz Airey has been appointed as an Independent Trustee and Chair of the Trustee Board with effect from 1 June 2008. The appointment was made jointly by the Company and the Trustee Board.
